Polyphony in Paris to Support R20 Climate Change Talks

PARIS – August 04, 2015 – International policy makers and thought leaders (including former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan and past president of Ireland Mary Robinson) met in Paris in late July for Climate Change talks sponsored by R20: Regions of Climate Action in advance of the UN’s COP21 conference later this year.

A Polyphony quartet joined by Artistic Director Nabeel Abboud-Ashkar played at the opening dinner hosted by French President François Hollande at the Élysée Palace, his official residence, where he greeted our co-founders Craig and Deborah Cogut, and they then performed again to a rousing ovation at the conference opening the following morning.
