Suoni dal Golfo Music & Poetry Festival

Suoni dal Golfo Music & Poetry Festival

In our first collaboration with the Jerusalem Music Academy, a joint quartet of JMA and Polyphony musicians traveled to Lerici, Italy this week to participate in the annual Suoni dal Golfo Music & Poetry Festival.

On Thursday, August 23rd in the beautiful Lerici Castle, violinists Jeris Saleh, and Ibrahim Boulus, cellist Ali Levi, and violist Amichai Hefter performed with mezzo-soprano Jelena Končar and pianist Giuseppe Bruno in an Homage to Percy Bysshe Shelley.

On Sunday, August 26th, they performed works by Mendelssohn and Haydn at the Piazzo Mottino, at the court of what used to be the city’s Jewish quarter before WWII. This is the first event to commemorate that fact since the end of the war.

The full program is available here
